Nwachukwu Chuka Peter is a seasoned investment banker and accomplished financial expert with over 17 years of professional experience. He currently serves as Chief Dealer and Group Head of Trading at United Bank for Africa (UBA), where he provides strategic leadership in financial markets and trading operations, driving performance across treasury and investment functions.

He holds a B.Sc. in Public Administration from Madonna University and a Master’s in Finance and Administration from ESUT Business School. He has completed specialized programs with Commerzbank London, JP Morgan, and Goldman Sachs, and served as a member of the FMDA Fixed Income Work Group. In recognition of his professional and leadership contributions, he was awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Leadership and Financial Management by the American Management University.

Under his stewardship, the UBA Treasury Group has consistently delivered award-winning performance, securing multiple industry recognitions such as the FMDQ Secondary Market Champion Award, FMDQ Dealing Member of the Year, and distinctions as both FMDQ Money Market and FX Market Liquidity Provider for two consecutive years.
