Kwate, a Nigerian hip-hop and Afrobeats artist, was born on August 2 in Benin City and raised in Lagos State. He hails from Edo State. His musical journey began in the early 2000s, and in 2007 , he released his debut EP .In 2009, Kwate dropped his first album titled Tomilorobo, which gained widespread attention in 2010 following the release of the hit single “Party Dey Here” featuring Side One. The song received massive airplay across Nigeria. He followed up in 2011 with another fan favorite, “Baby Give Me More”, featuring Jaywon.
