Markanthony Akem founded Agileseventeen in 2017 and is an enterprise transformation agent with deep expertise in Agile software delivery, business analysis, systems design, and generative AI. Over a career marked by multi-million-dollar programs for Fortune 500 clients, he blends technical rigor with people-centered leadership to help governmental and non-governmental organizations turn change into a strategic advantage.

A seasoned educator and practitioner, Markanthony has delivered 3000 hours of training to more than 1,000 students and brings practical AI experience—designing and deploying prompt engineering solutions that accelerate business outcomes. He graduated in the top 5 in his MBA class at the University of Phoenix in 2009 and was part of the Abbott team that developed an Abbott COVID-19 diagnostic kit in 2021.

Born in England and raised largely in Nigeria, Markanthony gained a B.Sc.  in Economics from Ebonyi State University graduating in 2004 and migrated to the United States where he furthered his education. Markanthony Akem holds several certifications and training as a SAFe Program Consultant, certified marketing professional, User testing, Leading change in times of disruption from MIT amidst many others. He has successfully led transformations across banking, airlines, insurance, startups, and telecommunications, helping organizations modernize technology, scale delivery, and embed durable, value-driven change.
